The performance: "The Upper Room", storytelling, music and photography
Hello, my name is Christian Stejskal. I am a storyteller, violinist and photographer, and I have created The Upper Room, a 75-minute multimedia performance based on John 13–17. I narrate these chapters faithfully and by heart, accompanied by my own photographs from Israel and Egypt, taken while travelling in the footsteps of Jesus, and by short pieces for solo violin. The performance brings the audience into the Upper Room, where Jesus washes His disciples’ feet and speaks to them about love, life in the Spirit, suffering, hope and the coming glory – before His words give way to Judas’ betrayal, the trial and the cross. Duration: 75 minutes. Please view the attached description for further reading. Sincere regards, Christian Stejskal
